HESPERIA
nomen tam Italiae, quam Hispaniae commune, Italiae quidem ab Hespero Atlantis fratre impositum, qui a fratre pulsus regionem eam tenuit. Hispaniae vero ab Hespero stella, quae vesperi ad Occid. apparet, propterea quod haec regio omnium extrema sit ad Occid. unde et Hesperiam ultimam, a poetis fere videmus appellari, ut eo veluti peculiari epitheto, ab Italia distinguatur.
